re: #297 SanFranciscoZionist

I know what I need to as a classroom teacher, but am not a big expert on the process. If the kid is diagnosed with anything that would warrant an IEP I certainly urge having one done for a whole lot of reasons…and being quite, but not insanely, aggressive about having it implemented and regularly met over.

How’s she doing academically, what do you think her needs may be, and what sort of testing are they doing, if you don’t mind my asking?

She’s in third grade, but many of her skills are at early or mid 2d grade level. She gets frustrated and has problems paying attention. She’ll do the work fine one time, then the next day, she’ll forget how to do it until she is shown. She also inverts numbers and letters as she is writing. We’re waiting to hear back from the school psychologist and also seeing what kind of help my work benefits can give us.
