I started my family in my 20’s and I’m glad I did because now they are all educated, self-supporting, wage-earning, tax-paying members of society. Nothing sucks like being in your ‘60’s trying to set aside for retirement, and you have teenagers and college tuitions to pay.
It depends on the individual.
Being a single parent in one’s 20’s is not a good way to build financial stability. This is the scenario I was thinking of when I wrote that.
