Can we make it more, er, “fun” by (unbeknownst to them) giving each boat the remote for their own ticking time-bomb device?

Sort of wondering why the Joker didn’t think of that in The Dark Knight, but I guess that was sort of the point. By making one boat blow up the other, he’d have the survivors stuck with the guilt of their actions.
