They do still prescribe Accutane for very stubborn acne. My daughter used it. She was required to watch a film, sign voluminous paperwork, and show up for a pregnancy test every month. She wasn’t having sex yet, so they told us to have condoms and morning after pill in the house just in case.

For me, I only had to a one-time psychological test thing online and monthly blood tests (liver or kidneys I think, can’t remember which) and the doctor did the standard “Are you going to crazy? Any thoughts of suicide?” questions every month.

I think I was on it for six months and by the end, I was on the mass dosage (two pills twice a day).
