The fact that this program started under Ronald Reagan reminds us of another important truth: Far too many people who are right of center* today only know of REAGAN!!1; They know nothing of the real Ronald W. Reagan. And if they did know of his creating a phone program to help jobless people and earlier telling parts of the GOP that the Republican Party had to make its peace with Social Security, they would scream “RINO!!!11” in rage.
