The Texas National Guard is 24% Hispanic. This could get interesting. Abbott’s own official militia, the unpaid and usually unarmed Texas State Guard, is mostly non-Hispanic. If the Guard refused orders, Trump and Abbott would see it as an opportunity to deputize fascist militias, probably in the form of church-based assistance groups
