In my absence I had the displeasure of being exposed to quite a bit of current American television, mostly while on the road.

I had not had to stay much in hotels the past few years so I was unaware of what has happened to the offerings on television. While I didn’t stay in the most expensive places I didn’t stay in the cheapest either. 50 channels - most of it infomercials or extremely stupid not-quite-real Reality TV.

And FauxNews seemed to be on in most every hotel lobby. The airport lounges still seem to prefer CNN, but it was about split in the airports.

I guess the younger crowd now does everything by mobile devices so given the presence of WiFi almost everywhere the young just surf to whatever they want to find. That leaves us old-folk to turn on what we used to lovingly call the boob-toob.

Boob-toob for sure.
