So, I’m watching a video about ancient Greece… and it’s flavored with some historical revisionism (mostly through overstatements or glossing over facts.) I hate it when that happens in documentaries that otherwise have some value. It’s production was funded in part by a wealthy Greek-American, and the main speaker is a contemporary Greek archeologist…. anyway, I guess the take-away lesson is that objective analysis of a culture needs, if it is to be accomplished, an outsider to be a key player.
