She’s not only a Democrat but speaker of the California Assembly. Additionally she’s was co-chair of Barack Obama’s California 2008 presidential campaign and a member of “Barack Obama’s national African American Leadership Council.”

She was also a community organizer. I may never trust community organizers again.

I did like her causes, which appear to be worthy. “… crusading for foster care and against the myriad liquor stores in South Los Angeles” according to the intro to the interview.
