My dad died in 1992. He flew a P-38 in the Pacific theater. He lost his only brother, who went down in a B-17, during the war.

This ad in no way speaks for him.

My grandfather died about five years earlier, in the bed of a woman not his (estranged) wife. He was born in Chicago. He didn’t learn English until he started school at age 8. He got relatively rich by starting a rendering company with his four brothers.

This ad doesn’t speak for him, either. Nobody can speak for the dead. Whoever made it has my thanks. And the actors in it even more so.
