Sitting at one airport gate I immediately noticed the volume-too-high TV screen in the gate area (full of people). As usual it was on CNN. Yet who was blabbing away? None other than the despicable Newt Gingrich. Droning on and on for what seemed an eternity.

I think most people were trying to ignore it, but a few were watching it.

You have to really hate your own humanity to listen to Newt for longer than 3 seconds.

When I take my car to the dealership repair shop and wait there for the inspection or repair the TV there is usually on a local station doing inane morning shows or something. First opportunity I get when I’m the only person in the waiting room I just turn the TV off. I have a book or laptop with me in any case.
