Watching a lot of footage like that requires some sense of detachment since if you start thinking about most of it is young men killing other men or dropping piles of bombs that are going to kill civilians.

I dunno, I can go all Nazi-handwave on most any of the WW2 material.

Vietnam footage hits me much more strongly.
