OK, if I understand this correctly, today’s decision is about the law preventing same sex couples from marrying in KY, while the previous decision was about recognition from other states of said marriages. Both are being appealed. I think both appeals may be decided together, and when they fail, KY will not only recognize all marriages from other states, but county clerks will be able to issue licenses for all couples here as well.
