Sure, McConnell will control him but I think the base loses its interest and maybe that even takes some of the boldness out of McConnell and also the scare of that Trump base. McConnell can be a little looser without that base because he won’t have to fear them as much. Might make him 1% more workable.

Nothing will make McConnell more cooperative with Democrats. He wasn’t before Trump and he won’t be after Trump.
