I was watching many hours of the House hearings.

Of the thousands and thousands of possible areas of gov’t expenditures, and of the billions and billions (even trillions) of dollars spent, what did the GOP reps, amendment after amendment, offer and discuss?

Exactly what the NYT piece opined: an ideological war, and one targeted mostly at women.

A handful of programs whose costs measure in the mere millions and whose effects concentrated on women - that is what the GOP offered as your “fiscal discipline.”
