True confessions time: I am actually almost looking forward to downgrade of the US sovereign debt rating (even if there is no default, a failure to raise the debt ceiling will lead to a downgrade). It is the financial markets equivalent of being able to observe the formation of a black hole. Sure, it might be deadly, but it really is fascinating and hey, you only live once.
