I pretty much agree with what you say. But I do have one question, which I could not easily answer if I were asked. You are pro-choice, except in the late stages of pregnancy, when you could be called pro-life. That flip-over point in the problem for me - exactly when and exactly why can this be done.

Women who just don’t want to be pregnant… try to terminate as early as possible. Nobody in their eighth month ever says “oh where did the time go, forgot to get that abortion, gotta do it now!”

Late term abortions happen when a woman who wanted very much to be pregnant, who had every intention of taking it to term, suddenly develops some medical problem that makes it dangerous for her to continue the pregnancy, or she gets some hideously bad news from the 22-week sonogram, followed up by detailed amnio genetic testing, and realizes she’s not going to be taking home a baby with any sort of life expectancy.

It’s unspeakably cruel to demand she finish those last couple months gestation, and go through labor and delivery, for what she already knows is going to be either a stillbirth or a profoundly damaged baby that can only live a few days or weeks.
