I really haven’t found a good source of comparative information about US and European immigration, and how it’s going, and why, and who’s involved, and how many illegal as opposed to legal immigrants there are. I know that the situation is quite different, as is the approach.

I believe that this discussion was started with reference to Middle Eastern and North African immigrants in Europe versus the US, given the primary topic of discussion at hand.

I don’t either have statistics on what the relative percentages of professionals versus unskilled immigrants are, but I have some feedback from Europe and some direct experiences in France and Scandinavia.

My comments are impressions, but I will be happy to be corrected if there are other issues that are dominant.
