Aide: Who are these people writing to us about their damn Eagle Scout kids? What letter do we send them?

What do we have left in the pile? McCain funeral? Barbara Bush death? Just send anything.

They don’t have a clue what they’re sending out, and they don’t care. This is basic functionality of the Comms team. They can’t handle basic communications tasks, or checking for what is otherwise a stock response.

It’s not like someone was asking a serious policy question; the WH responds to these as a matter of course.

All political offices have a repository of stock/form letters they use; that Trump bungles even this menial task shows how incompetent they are from top to bottom.

They just don’t give a shit what they’re doing.
