I actually have a lot of love for GHWB. I mean yeah he’s a criminal, but he did fairly well with a good mess and made some very sharp decisions at some tough times.

I rarely agreed with him, but he truly valued diplomacy. As much as I disagreed with Gulf War I, he did it right by sending James Baker out on a plane to build a real coalition.

‘Shuttle diplomacy’ is now a lost art, sadly.
