That’s the Appellate Division handing Trump’s lawyers their hats. The lower court (Supreme Court) already ruled in favor of the AG that Trump defrauded the public on multiple grounds, including incorrectly using the word University in their literature. The entity was not accredited and didn’t meet Education Law standards for a university.
Trump’s lawyers had tried claiming that the AG suit was outside the statute of limitations, but the Appellate Division found that wasn’t the case - the causes of action were brought within the 6 year statute of limitations on both the fraud and contract actions.
