I’m really getting tired of the nastiness.

Politics should NOT BE an all out war of “good vs. evil” with the only acceptable outcome being that one side must gain victory at all costs.

However it seems some on the right wing, since they vilify liberals and Democrats, would apparently like nothing more than to see a 100% Republican House, 100% Republican Senate, 100% Republican Supreme Court and a GOP President.

Such a scenario would of course give the GOP COMPLETE and total control over America. A virtual dictatorship if you will.

And yet they rail against Obama and the Democrats for allegedly wanting to do the exact same thing, albeit for the “other side”.

The idea of having two different political ideologies is NOT so that we can have a virtual fight to the death to determine which ideology is ultimately the right one. It’s so we can bring together different viewpoints and beliefs, then meet somewhere in the middle on a compromise that everyone (or at least mostly everyone) can agree on.

Politics is generally not about absolutes. But once you heavily contaminate it with religion - which often *is* about absolutes you start getting political statements like these.
