I think Kevin Drum is actually a good reporter. His blind spot is his overt liberalism, which in the most extreme requires a modicum of understanding of your political others. And Drum did this with the article you linked to, and many writers for the big newspapers (NY Times, Wash. Post) have been trying to do this - understand the other side - since Fuckface Von Clownstick took power. I think it’s an exercise in futility right now. Trump supporters actually *love* the fact that he lies constantly, their justification being “He’s shaking up the system!”
