Except that those weren’t Republicans… They were southern Democrats, like George Wallace and Orval Faubus. They never became Republicans, and in fact, Orval was honored by Clinton when he was president, so taking the crimes that were primarily one party and attributing them to the other is either highly ignorant, or willfully dishonest, or both.

Their rhetoric is identical to the White Citizen’s Councils, which Haley Barbour (R - Dumb Ass) defends. (So are their art departments for those misspelled picket signs.) citizenscouncils.com
