No doubt, that was the era when a lot of these types really came out of the woodwork though I would add that Father Coughlin was doing his wacky shit in the 1930’s.

Grandma and Grandpa Bacon HATED Coughlin with a passion. During the depression, they took in boarders. They refused to let anyone in the house listen to that bigot. The only plus about Coughlin was that the Vatican eventually put a muzzle on him and shut him up. It’s a shame they haven’t done that to idiots like Bill Donohoe of the Catholic League…
