Not entirely, but it plays a major role. I’ve seen the reports (from CNN, not Fox to be clear) about what young boys are taught in the madrassas. They get anti-Americanism drummed into them quite thoroughly.

The Soviet Union was sent packing with their tail between their legs….. we’re just another superpower….. certainly we will do that too in their eyes.
