So, can one of you lawyer type guys clarify whether state police can arrest a federal officer for violating state law (and, I assume, exceeding their Federal mandate)? Or does the state have to deal with the DoJ, or sue the Feds or what? I imagine we’re going to get to this sooner rather than later.

In short, no. That would be Federal nullification (we fought a civil war over that).

Republican legislatures are trying to pass nullification laws (especially in regards to guns).

Sovereign citizen wingnuts think that county sheriffs have that right (see their attacks on the Bureau of Land Management).
