I’m not sure why, but that seems to have become unthinkable to some. I think the “big tent” idea is overrated (you can’t successfully be all things to all people); but being able to agree to disagree on things that fall outside of the basics - fiscal conservatism and strong defense and law & order policies as you say - with the full realization that it will benefit all conservatives is an achievable goal, isn’t it? Am I being naive here?
