I guess I’m just sick and tired of the rich and powerful getting to play by different rules. Call me an idealist or whatever, but I really hope that someday - maybe in my grandkids’ world, if I am so blessed as to have them - we can dispense with this nonsense and treat all (alleged or actual) criminals with respect, dignity, but also sternness and strict adherence to the rules.

If our right-wing assholes drank bleach and stuck UV lights up their asses, we could have that, but they did not follow their leader’s advice, so we’re stuck with an abusive “justice” system.
