Try him as an adult, and if found guilty, sentence him to a minimum of 99 years for each count of homicide, to be served consecutively, with the possibility of parole after having completed the first sentence in its entirety.

Apparently the Kenosha county sheriff David Beth is on the record in favor of undesirables being locked up in warehouses.
At a January 25th news conference, Sheriff Beth stated, “I’m to the point that I think society has come to a threshold where some people aren’t worth saving. We need to build warehouses, put these people into it, and lock them away for the rest of their lives.”

It’s possible that his family had advanced knowledge of his plans — but it’s equally possible that they were blindsided by his actions. Jacob Blake was unarmed and was shot by cops 7 times.
Rittenhouse was heavily armed and wearing body armor and gloves to avoid leaving fingerprints. He opened fire on the crowd with an AR-15 and murdered 2 people. The cops did nothing to stop him, didn’t treat him as a danger, somehow enabled him to leave the scene of the crime, cross state lines, and he was ultimately arrested without a shot fired in Illinois. That’s after murdering 2 people with a high powered semi-auto rifle.

(Via USA Today) Cody Waymack and his wife are struggling to survive with their two children after the extra $600 a week in federal unemployment benefits expired in late July. Now the family is living off each of their weekly state unemployment checks: $96 and $48.
Cody, who lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was just four days into his new job as a pipe fitter at a chemical plant when he was laid off in March. His wife, who worked at a sandwich chain, initially had her hours slashed and eventually was laid off, too.
It came as a shock when the couple found out they don’t qualify for the new $300-a-week federal jobless aid through President Donald Trump’s executive action. He issued the memorandum this month after Congress failed to strike a deal on another coronavirus relief package.
“It was a heartbreaker,” says Waymack, 32, who has seen his apartment complex post eviction notices on his neighbors’ doors this month. He’s worried his family will be next because they can’t afford to pay their rent come Sept. 1.
Waymack is angry that Congress didn’t extend the $600 federal supplement before going on recess until Labor Day.
“Congress has failed us. I can’t even afford groceries,” says Waymack, who added that he doesn’t have enough in savings to fall back on, or a 401(k) plan to tap into for emergencies. “They don’t have to worry about where their next meal will come from or whether they’ll get evicted. They’re still getting paid while we’re begging for help.”

Another way to read that is that 62% of people blame either Republicans in Congress or the Republican president. A 60-40 split on which party to blame is pretty good for the party in the 40%. Congressional Democrats need to get better at messaging. Because while we all know where the fuckery is happening, it seems a lot of people don’t - and quite frankly, every time a Democrat makes any appearance or gives any statement about this the first thing they say should be “the House passed an extension, Republicans in the Senate and Donald Trump aren’t interested in considering it, so the American people will suffer.”

I remember hearing the both-sides stuff in my canvassing days in 2018. The good news is, it took about two seconds to disabuse people of that with facts(e.g. the House bill has been sitting on Moscow Mitch’s desk since May).
