ooops!

“Nightmare,” Some planning to get new COVID-19 vaccine getting bills for nearly $200

According to both CVS and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the new vaccines have a new billing code for insurances - which has not been updated in all insurance plans, leading to the erroneous charge for people seeking out a vaccine in this first week.

“Some payers are still updating their systems and may not yet be set up to cover the updated COVID-19 vaccines. If this happens, our pharmacy teams can help patients schedule an appointment for a later date,” a CVS Spokesperson said.

Trump trying to align himself with the unions is rather interesting if only because he is so incredibly wrong in his political calculations. My guess is that the unions don’t actually care one way or another about the EV mandates, so long as the cars and components are built in union facilities. Trump, however, is just trying to use this to squawk about the evils of EVs, despite the fact that they are clearly the future of the auto industry at this point.

McCarthy sucks at this - he doesn’t know basic math, and it shows. It showed from the moment he misjudged support for his speakership requiring multiple votes to get him the posting, but only after selling what’s left of his soul to the fascist wing of the GOP.

BWAHAHAHAHA

We all saw this coming. Everyone who has more than two brain cells to rub together saw this coming. This was going to be the breaking point for McCarthy and the House Freedumb Caucus, and we all knew it. They want to force a government shutdown unless they get their way. McCarthy, not having been born yesterday, wants to do anything but that. Rock, hard place.

It’s a procedural vote to allow the bill to come to the floor. Democrats just giving GOP and McCarthy the business for not knowing basic math (the count).

But it’s also containing a provision that would prevent elimination of sales of internal combustion engines.

I’m still getting fall-out from that Missouri flamethrower pigfest.

I can’t believe how many people seem to think the issue is THE BOOKS. “Thank God they didn’t actually burn any books!” I’ve been seeing variations on this for the last 2 days.

There’s nothing sacred about books. They’re not special objects that must never be harmed.

When fascists burn books, it’s NOT BECAUSE THEY HATE BOOKS. It’s because they hate the PEOPLE who read them. And when they tell you “there were no books in those boxes haha” it does not make it one bit better, even IF they’re telling the truth and not lying.

It’s a threat of violence. It’s not about the books.

I even replied with something similar to my quote post of yours. It’s all symbolic, whether you’re burning boxes, books, effigies, whatever. The point is to express a willingness to commit violence to achieve one’s ends. “Right now, it’s just books, but if you’re caught reading these, we’ll throw you on the pile and burn you too” is the implication.
