That a high ranking captain of the LAPD under Gates would move to Idaho and be in a RW church should pretty much tell you all about what the LAPD was (and probably still) is.

The church is in Sun Valley, California. Not sure if this particular cop ever moved to Idaho, but I wouldn’t doubt it.
