Construction, plumbers, carpenters, are the jobs of the future.

Skilled trades will always be in demand (though income obviously varies from time to time.)

Machinists, welders, woodworkers of all types, masons, etc. are needed. Not day laborers who get put in those jobs short time and often do sub-quality work (which I’ve seen around here quite a bit), but rather people who spend their lives perfecting a particular craft.

The problem I see, and this is one of my favorite soap boxes, is that Americans as consumers are too willing to settle for low quality. Low quality service and low quality products.

Low quality food, too.
