There’s a very cool second or third season of Mission Impossible where there is some gambling going on and folks are dropping thousand dollar bills into the pile. Interestingly, they actually looked real, rather than like the standard monopoly money that they typically used in those scenes. Turns out that they didn’t discontinue the 1000 dollar bill until 1969. Man, I would love for those to come back in fashion! I know it would certainly make the drug trade easier.

Heh. An ATM gave me some $50 early in the year. Those are hard to spend with the ways I usually use cash since a lot of shops around here will not take anything larger than a $20. (They have signs indicating they do not take $50 or $100 bills.) I eventually was able to find places that would take them and had sufficient change.
