Of course, that’s apparent. My own instinct is to condemn royalty and urge democratic solutions. But are the radicals winning hearts and minds with their tactics? It seems fairly contradictory to the situation there when you see this (not that I trust Putin & Co). But it just seems like mass slaughter is no solution, either, from either side.

One of the Machiavellian games that the Saudi rulers play is to finance and encourage the spread of radical Wahabism while they themselves wallow in Western decadence. That is going to catch up with them big-time at some point.
