Dem legislators on Twitter seem to indicate that this bill puts same-sex marriage and interracial marriage out of reach of the Alito Calvinball Court. I’m wondering why they’re saying this if, as logic suggests, it should be a simple matter for some religious fruitcake from Texas to file a First Amendment (freedom of religion) challenge to the bill, and stuff it through the corrupt Fifth Circuit and get it before SCOTUS.
