Sometimes, we outsmart ourselves. At this point, we have to use every tool in our possession. War is hell and lots of bad shit happens during a war. Sometimes we have to be lawyerly rather than fully honest. Sometimes we have to resort to rhetorical tools that are more logical fallacies than we would prefer. This is a relatively minor kerfuffle and will likely not result in anyone’s death. Not like Trump’s rhetoric.

And remember, we are all on the same side trying to accomplish the same thing. We may not always agree on the tactics but we must keep our eyes on the prize - destroy Trump as a viable candidate and break the GOP into pieces. We do this and America can move on.

There’s enough real stuff to hang around Trump’s neck that we shouldn’t need to take things out of context. Is taking things out of context helpful in this situation? If so then do it; all’s fair in love and war and politics. I’m just not sure that it’s helpful in this case.
