I honestly can’t think of any company that, if competent needs a non-compete. As mentioned above, the fact it was illegal in Cali didn’t stop Silicon Valley.

Fuck the lazy incompetent greedy bastards.

I worked as a contractor for most of my career, at Ford, GM & their suppliers. Only once was I asked to sign a non-compete and I walked out of the interview.

Later they called me back and said they would waive the non-compete, but I did not take that job.
