Read it decades ago and remember that it was disturbing because, unlike 1984, there were no true bad guys. The government wanted everyone to be happy, satisfied with their place in society, and living comfortably, which meant limiting ideas available to the public. It was a nightmare society designed with the best of intentions.

Said government still being the elite Alphas lording over the other castes. Who are purposefully made that way.
