Except she won South freakin Carolina. The only characteristic that they really care about is the (R) after their name. Had Ben Carson somehow won the nomination, they’d’ve all voted for a black man - and screamed racism any time anyone criticized him. Had Palin run in 2012 and won the nomination, they’d’ve all voted for her, too… and screamed sexism at any criticism.

That’s certainly true as well. That said, I can’t see her getting nominated for President. Sexism is such a big thing in R politics and perhaps that’s part of the real reason why Palin never runs.
