Conspiracy theories thrive on alledging that the missing pieces in their theory are secrets kept by the very theories that they asserted in the first place. If modern technological will provide for a culture in which leaks about important conspiracies become commonplace, the basic assumption about secrecy protecting the conspiracies will become less of an attractive rhetorical device for conspiracy theorists.

Listen to Alex Jones’ broadcasts over the last months. He is already now switching to the spin that the New World Order supposedly got so bold that it acts out its conspiracies in the open for everybody to see. It’s a really weird transformation in that particular subculture of nuttiness that is now taking place.
