A reminder: Trump could shoot someone on 5th Avenue and not lose any supporters. There is no evil he can commit that would lose anyone in his base. OTOH, if he actually says/does something honest or decent, he may get booed by his base — for example the few times he ventured to endorse vaccinations, his base was not enthusiastic.

In fact, DT is still strong among repugs, but his popularity has been dropping bit by bit since Jan 6. I haven’t found anything that specifically addresses independents, but signs point to downward.

The effects of his “retention” of super-classified documents are a bit too recent to be reflected in the polls.
