Do our soldiers do anything productive?

Do our fire fighters do anything productive?

Do our libraries do anything productive?

Do our cops do anything productive?

Do those guys who invented the internet as a way of keeping information flowing through a decentralized system that could survive a nuclear attack do anything productive?
