The 🇿 trolls are out in force to deal with the fallout from the Ukrainian PoW’s getting shelled in Donetsk. Like, I had to explain to one who posted a nasty video supposedly showing Ukrainians executing Russian captives that
a) Russians are known to have committed perfidy during this invasion of Ukrainian territory.
b) The not all rules for PoW apply to Unlawful Combattants, like if those Russians were caught red-handed committing “manifestly unlawful” acts, it could end like that…

What happened exactly? Who’s in control of Donetsk? Are the POWs Ukrainian soldiers or are they Russians being held by Ukraine? (I’m just tired enough I can’t quite parse out the details.)
