Police state mentality. Police brutality, and the threat of police brutality, is not a deterrent to crime.

Neither is more police brutality on top of that.

We are not talking about “crime”. The situation here is mass looting and arson. Fear of the police and fear of consequence has broken down. There need to be immediate consequences.
