I remember travelling to Seoul and being surprised at a PR effort there to revive the swastika ( late 90s). It was a symbol of peace and prosperity that the Nazi’s appropriated. the mail Seoul subway station has swastikas everywhere in the tile patterns.

Not to be confused with the backward swastikas, which are the symbols on buddhist temples in Korea.

But they can’t rehabilitate the symbol and never will in the west. Fascists will always appropriate and exploit symbols.

Yep. I for one rather wish that the confederate battle emblem could somehow be rehabilitated, as a symbol of mere regional pride. But, such efforts are definitely uphill, and probably foredoomed.
