Not gonna lie, my brain must be in slow-mo because it took a hot minute for me to realize why this was on Bad Legal Takes.
The Senate is a unique form of gerrymandering in which rural, less populated states are proportionally over-represented.
There was a time when “rural state” did not necessarily mean “red state”, but with only a few exceptions, that is the case now, and this skewers both the Senate and the Electoral College and makes them less representative of the will of the voters.
