Hilariously, in a contest in which one candidate is polling over 50% and only one other even has double digit support, the candidate who got attacked the most (other than Biden) was Ramaswamy, who is basically a rightwing message board. How the GOP became captured by a debased conman to the point that he is running away with the presidential nomination despite indictments in 4 separate jurisdictions on 91 felony counts is going to be the subject of a lot of poly sci PhD dissertations over the next century.

The student will study Europe and what led to WWI and the fallout of said war.

I maintain that the US is in a crisis of worldviews, that the old time religion is not working and some significant fraction of the population cannot accept that.

Hence the crisis.

It’s up to the rest of us who want to live in the 21st century to push back against the atavists who think the 17th century is how life should be.
