Basically, if you could make a device that does this, you’d be walking around in a fog of superheated steam.

I feel like that most of the time anyway.

For similar reasons, using lasers or a flamethrower to clear your driveway (or the road in front of you) is a Bad Idea (tm), in addition to being so inefficient as to be impractical.
