A win for semantics, have an upding.

In this case the semantics are important. The killing of military officers is often thought of as part of a military operation.

We are in a conflict with the military forces of Libya. Now, the word “war” isn’t used, but then again for the past 50 years we’ve avoided that term (legally), so since Korea on we’ve come up with creative names for military actions.

I’m convinced that the prohibition against US Presidents trying to assassinate foreign leaders doesn’t apply for military operations. It’s intention, the spirit of the law if you will, was to prevent things like Kennedy going after Castro with hired guns, etc.
